I believe that this is the correct section of the Spey.....
I would like to give notice for an upcoming training event to be held on the 28th and 29th May [2-14] at Boat of Garten on the Spey. We have a level/flow monitoring station on the banks of the Spey just downstream of the road bridge East of Boat of Garten. We held a similar event several years ago. During the event we will have several temporary rope systems stretching across the whole width of the river very close to the water surface with several small floats attached (1x1m). It would be great if you could put out a notice for anyone who is thinking of using that part of the Spey for any recreational activities. Once the ropes are up if someone is coming down the river then we won’t be able to move them out the way. Please contact me if you have any others question or concerns

Re: RIVER SPEY Loch inch - Inverness

Post by Jet moore »

Decided to paddle solo from loch inch to Inverness cycling my shuttles back on the 3-4 Jan 2019.
The paddle was stunning with great views all the way way down the trip.
Some very long flat sections after avimore.
The second day of my paddle gave some good little rapids with the washing machine supprising me.
The lower end of the river I had a great otter sighting which made the trip wildlife wise.
Well worth the paddle but I would do it in 3-4 days not 2 as was a long paddle with some seriously long cycle shuttles back each night.
