The oak tree near Ardclach has now gone...BUT...I'm just back from a trip down the Upper Findhorn amd there's now half a tree stuck in the pool immediately below U-Bend. It wasn't possible to see if it was also cutting into the chute at the bottom of the drop, but best to get out and have a look if you're thinking of running it as it could make a swim there even less pleasant than normal!

Upper Findhorn - Levens Gorge hazard

There is a large branch caught in the undercut, river right, just below the twisting drop at the entrance to the Levens gorge. It will be completely submerged at high water levels but could be a nasty surprise for anyone who takes a swim there.
