Rother from Midhurst to Pulborough

Post by custardtart » Mon Jun 20, 2011 10:34 am

I did this trip a while ago. A beautiful river trip, severely overgrown in the upper reaches, plenty of friendly fishermen and a handful of not so. Now have a nice collection of polo balls.

Could probably post a couple of pics if anyone is interested?

Hi,

I've always fancied trying the Rother, being fairly local but have always been put off by reports of aggressive landowners / anglers. I'm not afraid of the odd confrontation myself but often paddle with kids, so don't want to expose them to it. I'd be really grateful for info on access points, water levels, rection from the local landowners / anglers.

Cheers,

Ian

Yes, me too. I rather had the impression it is somewhat a bandit run?
