GREAT STOUR - RIVER LEVELS

Hello All

A few of us paddled the Stour on Sunday and with all the rain and snow melt we had on Saturday the river was at a really good level.

Judging the level on Sunday and the level today (06/12/10) I would say that the optimum levels would be from 0.59 to 0.80 at Horton weir.

At these levels the first weir at Chartham generates a really good green surf wave and the second weir make for an interesting stopped either side of the tongue of water flowing through the centre of the river.
