State of Knightwick weir

Post by SimonMW » Thu Oct 18, 2012 4:10 pm

Anyone know the current state of Knightwick weir?

A number of weeks back I was at Nafford and a guy showed up there and said he had come to Nafford because part of Knightwick had collapsed and was dangerous. Or something along those lines.

Anyone know the situation or paddled it recently?

I was there about 3 weeks ago and didn't see anything wrong. Has it happened more recently than that?

After work sessions at Knightwick Weir for the last two evenings have been great. What is even better is the workmen clearing the blocked lay-by. We may have better parking again!

The lovely green wave has been lost, just one big old stopper from one end to the other, I'd imagine it just needs a good clean out when the levels are low enough
