Darley bridge Launch footpath

Post by damppaddler » Wed Aug 21, 2013 2:19 pm

I am looking to ask the council to make the path down to the river derwent, at darley bridge a public foot path

Matlock Fishing club recently put up a 'no canoe launching' sign on this piece of land

The path in question is opposite the severn trent building/lorry yard, going down to the river

If you have used the path before then I need to know how long you have been using it and have you ever been challenged for using it

Either post here or PM me

thanks

Been using that track for personal access and professional access since moving to the Peak District in 2007. Never had so much as a sniff of an issue there. Was never a big fan of parking all day there though.

I've been using it with groups for about 10 years, and never had a problem. Am launching at The Square and Compass until we know what the deal with access there is.
