SEWAGE POLLUTION WARNING LOWER KENT

As a result of storm desmond in december there has been damage to the water treatment plant at kendal just upstream from scroggs weir and the lower kent. Raw sewage is leaking into the river and presents a possible biological hazard especially if ingested. People who have recently paddled this section have reported a foul smell even in meduim levels
