White Water Kayaking in East China
I am flying into Shanghai this summer (dates not fixed). Does anyone know how I can get connected with other kayakers and paddle some rivers in China?

Can't help you myself. If your dates coincide with that festival, maybe go along there and see if you can make some contacts there?
Or look up rafting companies and see if they can put you in touch with kayakers. That can be hit and miss though, many rafting companies abroad seem to be only interested in rafting as a business opportunity, than an actual love of the river and a desire to go kayaking/exploring anything beyond the short of river they typically raft!
