Nordkapp Weekend, Jersey, August 26-28

Jersey Kayak club are running a Nordkapp Weekend, a three day celebration of Valley's evergreen expedition kayak. This is over the late Summer bank holiday.

The only proviso is that the events are exclusively for paddlers in Nordapps, which can be of any model or era. A full programme is in the offing, possibly to include day trips to the Minquiers and Ecrehous reefs (weather permitting). The paddling in Jersey is highly varied and challenging, and whatever happens weather-wise we can always get on the water somewhere.

Due to an offer to use accommodation, they are able to offer an amazing low price of £75 all-in: temporary membership of Jersey Canoe Club, bunk in shared dorms, meals, packed lunch and goody bag. Staying in Jersey is usually very expensive, so this is fantastic value. Event details are on its own facebook page (below), visible to non-members of facebook.
