Re: Damaged Weir on river Doon (ayrshire)

Hi, There have been a few changes since the above post. It looks as though there has been someone or group in there and made it safer. We had a river intro group down there last week at good high levels. I got them to portage the broken weir. One thing I noticed is that the large pool above the weir...

Another vote for the Palm gradient shorts. The Neoprene ia stitched into them so not possible to remove when really warm or abroad.

So how did this actually happen? If someone had stolen my boat and I knew who and where I'd have been round there with a team rapid. No iffs or buts.

Re: SPRAY DECKS

Another vote for the Seals Pro Rand. I'm on my second one. The first one was stolen. It was so good I ordered another straight away as It's an awesome difference from the 8 other previous decks I've had. All of which were totally rubbish in comparison to the Seals. Not cheap mind.

Flights from Scotland to France (Alps)

Ok, Its come to that time of year where I hunt long and wide for an option other than driving to the Alps. Driving for a full day does not excite me especially since i'm only going for a week. Air france have an expensive option but will they take my Nomad packed with kit? I've not gone through the ...

Re: How would you have approached this situation?

Only thing I would add is if there planning on running this type of water, Train for the what ifs. I found it hard to beleive that on water like that the rescuer couldn't hold a rope while throwing, Couldn't throw a rope properly or affect an efficient rescue. I personally would of had another safet...

Hey,
I know a fella who's selling a Lil Joe. it is in immaculate condition. It's only been on the water a few times. I know he wants £400 for it. Only issue is it's in Scotland. 25 miles south of Glasgow. Great boat for the right price if your interested.

Re: Whats the weirdest thing you have seen whilst paddling

Another dead bloated cow but this time on the Nith 2 years ago. Interesting point is it was 5 metres up in the tree. None of the local farmers wanted anything to do with it. Sepa eventually sorted it. Don't know how though. great river

Be best to just buy one. Honestly. Monstar has only been out for a few months. Why would anyone in there right mind spend over a £1000 on a Monstar and then sell it to you for half that. Your taking the piss.

Lendl Kinetik Found at Right Angle

Hi,
After paddling a low Etive yesterday with friends I found a Lendl Kinetik Paddle which was broken in two pieces. If this is yours please contact me for it's safe return.
It has a chip out of one of the blades.

I came across this film before. It's awesome. Personally I think this is the closest normal paddlers will be able to acheive on a normal budget. I.E no helicopters, very expensive cameras and producers. Would love one of those octocopters though.

I'll second that for the Seals deck. I've used about 10 various decks in the past. Palm, Yak, Pyrahna, Kevlar not kevlar. Seals is by far the driest I've known but pretty expensive.
