Re: Buoyancy bags for Mamba bow

The smallest palm ones fit in the front of my Axiom fine. They probably dont even half inflate but they fill the gap.

Re: WWSR Course

My current drysuit is from Peak uk, i got it second hand and it must be 8 years old. The legs leak a bit now ( so no good for wwsr but fine for a quick swim) but the cag part is still dry. When they have my size in stock i will buy another one. Loads of people swear by Typhoon Multisport, there are ...

Re: WWSR Course

I would be wearing a Drysuit and lots of layers underneath ! Even take spare thermals for the second day incase you get wet. It will be long days so even a thick wetsuit is not really suitable.

Thanks for replying. It sounds like we are a similar size, however I live too far away to come and view or try on.🤔

Many thanks

Hi,

I dont know much about SOT's but all the ww boats I have bought new have been lovely and shiny with barely a mark so it sounds a bit like BS to me.

Re: Cheap drysuit

Hiya what size are you?
I have a peak uk creek drysuit (orange/grey) with leg entry. Legs leak a small amount if standing in water for a few minutes but top half is good still. Needs a new neck seal but i could sort that.
Think its small/medium

Re: Bl**dy Rolling

In time you will find you start sitting up before you get right up and use a forward sweep whilst sitting up - at this point you will have changed your roll to a combat roll which is even more useful on white water because you come up ready for a forward stroke Very well put Jim that is exactly wha...

Impressive faff to paddling ratio[emoji6]. I normally recon on adding at least 30% for faff time but you easily surpassed that!

Re: Access and facility charging at Canolfan Tryweryn

Who manages the river? And organises the release? Are there fees for that? If thats what the fees go towards then I have no problem paying. £14 is not a lot of money for a day out. I do wonder, if people are against supporting this resource, what would they happily pay £14 for? Chalky do you think t...

Re: 'Pimping Out' a Wavesport D75?

Hiya, The d75 comes with a basic full plate footrest anyway, so it is no problem to add a layer of foam over the top, as you say try not to leave any gap around it. Probably best cable ties to attach it rather than velcro. Also I find a wedge shaped footblock is comfier and gives more footroom than ...

Re: What kayak?

I second the Axiom. I paddled the Derwent at Matlock in one a lot. Fast but quite narrow also, so agile. Would be good choice for paddling upriver as well. Good on a green wave. I now mainly use it for grade 3.
I go on a Wed or Thurs eve if you want a try in the 8.5 msg me.
