Advise on light weight boats

Looking for advise on a boat I can use on Grade 3 / 3+
Main criteria being weight. The lighter the better for carrying around on land but will be fun on the water - for a 5' 5" - 80kg 55 year old paddler.

Re: If you can't do the time, don't do the crime.

As to the practice of drinking out of a shoe. though i have never seen done in real life amongst my pears. If...

Re: 'White' water?

So... It comes down to it.... a chance has a lot to do with it... "My Story" One day, about 8 years ago, on a family outing to the River Severn. We saw a rowing club. The door was open so we went in. However our excitement of wanting to join in was met with cold shoulders. which was distinctly off p...

Re: 'White' water?

What a brilliant question. Same can be said of swimming - don't see many " None Anglo Saxons :) " participating in that sport either. The River does not care about the color of your skin or ethnicity. Once you have the kit on - it is difficult to tell, when you r running a rapid & screaming like a b...

sacrilege

Is it sacrilege to suggest that boats being designed and developed in the last 2yrs are just too heavy. all exceeding +20kg mark. Load them with some equipment and they are Bxxxxdy heavy to carry any distance. Please Mr CONFLUENCE WATERSPORTS have a Heart. Your Next task if you choose to except it i...

Give your camera to a friend. Preferably someone way better then u. Attach it to clip on short line so they don't loose it. Allowing them to film the swims and spills Which Inevitably you are going to have :)

Re: Shoulder Injury Survey

Did the survey. For white water kaykers. Carrying a 20kg kayak on your shoulder creating a point load on part of a body that is not intended to carry such a load. Must trigger some long term pain. Combine that with moving in difficult terrain. Just a thought. My right shoulder is now under constant ...
