Hep B for Uganda

Having taken a visit to the local nurse and read the relevant stuff I am still undecided about getting a Hep B jab for the Nile. Obviously, if I need it I will get it but is it really a risk especially if I take a clean medical kit out there?

Thanks in advance,

Joe

Yeer, new Peak decks seem rather sketchy! I use one of the older ones and it's solid so don't discount Peak altogether.

Re: Doug Ammons - Unnofficial Feedback

Unfortunately I havn't quite got the time to give such an extensive overview as the above post; however, in my opinion the lecture at PyB was pretty slick with minimal hick-ups. An inspiring talk and it was nice to have a chat at the end, along with purchasing a book with proceeds going to a good ca...

Levels have dropped down from a good day on Tuesday. With all this wetness though, shouldn't take much rain to bring stuff into condition - i.e. at the very least the Glen and Aberglaslyn Gorge will go.

Have fun.

Re: Mincer

We had a scout on the way back from the Lledr on Tuesday and it looked at an ideal level, where it looked fairly clean and with manageable holes. However, there was a tree down making one section tricky and a little way above the last drop it goes through a constriction and that did look rather mean.

Cheers Rich, Yes I had a look at that earlier and they sound great on kit. I'm more interested in the medical/evacuation cover and experience with that side of things.

Adrenaline Travel Insurance

Looking to get Worldwide Annual cover for me and my kit and Adrenaline seem to offer a good deal at about a hundred quid. Had a look through the details and all seems good. Anyone had any experience with them?

Cheers,

FS Pyranha Burn S

Pyranha Burn S Yellow/Jaffa Very good condition (new in Sept '08) Reason for sale is I need to upsize my creekboat, so I can either sell or swap for something slightly bigger (e.g. Burn M, Nomad 8.1). Annie, cracking video! You must have been the Irish lot we bumped into by the Guil that same day, didn't realise you were playing at Embrun wave too :-) Glad you had a great time anyway, we ended up heading to the Verdon and then sadly home due to lack of time.

All the best,

Easter

Starting to think about my Easter break (29th March onwards) this year and a possible paddling trip outside the UK. I have already had a brief look into Morocco which sounds ideal (but maybe abit expensive for me!)...any other ideas?

Thanks in advance,

But would also result in a much reduced flow over the weir even during flood conditions.

This could be good as in flood conditions the weir is horrid! I wonder if there is a chance of developing the weir as a better playspot in light of these proposals...

Errrm, sorry, no it's not!!
Most paddle the Lower Prysor by the looks of it when it is at very low flows, in higher water I can imagine it being a rather more 'on the edge of your seat' affair!

My goodness there are some ridiculous comments here! I see many people scrapping down rivers I wouldn't even touch at similar levels; however, aslong as it is not affecting the Salmon spawning etc. I have no problem and aslong as they are having good honest fun then leave them to it. There is also a...

You try fitting a Dagger GTMax in a Rover 200. Ha! Try a Pyranha Blade in a Mk1 Fiat Uno; as long as you closed the boot slowly otherwise you'd pop the back windcreen out... I see your Pyranha Blade in a Fiat Uno, and raise you....a Wavesport Habitat in a Ford Fiesta... I have to open the glove box...
