Here's one of my own. designed to teach people how to seal launch from further up. the bungees can be adjusted to change the angle of the drop.

I'm sure if a kayaker was to alter a river, it may be to adjust a playspot, i doubt any kayaker would alter the course of a river so drastically.

As far as i am aware, it is for security. It should be attached with a security screw which has a much less common screw head,so a tool is required which is much harder to come by.
