Re: Valley Sirona

Thanks for that. Very interesting.
I'm heading up to Skye in May so will check out both the Sirona and the 40. Might be an expensive trip!!

Valley Sirona^

Anyone seen or better still paddled one of these yet?
I'm particularly interested in the plastic version but they seem to be as rare as rocking horse poo.
Seems to be a repeat of the situation when the Gemini's came out.

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

Don't know if you're still after one of these but NDK have some new cosmetic seconds going for £900.
They're listed on ebay but I'm sure they'll welcome a call direct.

Re: Second hand boat wanted.

Hi

I've got a Tahe Reval composite boat. This is an 18ft expedition boat. It has previously been holed and repaired by the previous owner. It is watertight and very comfortable. Due to the repair I'm only asking £450.

I'm in Cheddar Somerset so on the way south.

Re: Valley Gemini SP for sale

Hi,

Hope you don't mind me asking a general question about these boats.

How do you find it on day trips keeping up with a a group cruising at about 3 knots (6kmh)? Is it as fast or faster than the likes of a delphin?

Thanks

Now with photos using link. Two year old Tahe Greenland T so the slightly bigger version with a day hatch. In excellent used condition - it does of course have a few very small scratches. This one is a light beige (like sand) coloured hull and foredeck with a burgundy rear deck, hence the hull scrat...

Apparently the photo link isn't working.
When the kids get home I'll get an expert to sort it out. Meanwhile I can email some pics or more when I get home.

Thanks for the interest so far

Re: WANTED - TIDERACE VORTEX or Xtra (maybe)

Thanks dwrgi, I saw this one on Sea Kayak Cymru I'm after something a bit more of an all rounder but still a bit shorter and more playful then an Xcite but still good for touring. Hence Vortex/Xtra. Also at 14st I think I'm a bit heavy for the Gemini Twins. Especially once it's loaded a bit. I see y...

WANTED - TIDERACE VORTEX or Xtra (maybe)

As it says. I'm after a used Tiderace Vortex preferably the later triple layer plastic. Maybe could be talked into an Xtra at the right price!
Based in Somerset

I went a few years with a farmer john and a cag. It's fine as long as you stay dry. But if you do take a swim once you're wet and the wind chill kicks in you'll wish you had a dry suit.

Re: Canoe & Kayak magazine drysuit review help needed

I've got a Yak Titan - only had it a couple of months, but very pleased so far. Size L fit is perfect for me (5.10, 41in chest). I've even used it in a pool when checking dive kit so spent 45 mins at 4 metres - bone dry. When the neck seal does go I'll probably change it for a glideskin neoprene one...

LARGE Sea Kayak Wanted

Mate of mine is after his first boat. He's 2* level and wants a bit of an all rounder - probably plastic as he will be playing in the rocks. Needs to be high volume as he's 6'5" and 19.5 stone, with feet to match. I'm thinking Valley Aquanaut HV any other suggestions? Budget about £600 He based in C...

SEA KAYAK WANTED

Appealing on behalf of my brother-in-law. After a proper sea kayak, able to cope with the Severn Estuary. At least 16ft long preferably a bit longer. Don't mind weather it's plastic or composite. Suitable for "intromediate" paddler. Keyhole cockpit. Skeg. The budget is £400 - £500 max. Just missed a...

Re: Zegul Greenland T - a short impression

Can't argue with that. We're all different and have different priorities in our boats. That's why it's so important to try as many as possible. I still love the T and can happily use it all day or for multi days. It's just for my size and weight the GT is a better all round boat and more comfortable...

Re: Zegul Greenland T - a short impression

I have both the Greenland T and the GT (the T is the Tahe before it's name was changed to Zegul but it's the same boat in composite lite layup. The GT is in A core so composite and kevlar) I'm 5'10 and have size 44 feet and can just get my feet in properly with normal wetsuit boots on. I agree with ...

Hi Kevin, Yes - A group of us did it last September - launched from Portishead sailing club and went with the incoming tide under the Second Severn Crossing, then under the Wye Bridge and up the Wye as far as we could before the tide turned. Re: Wanted, sea kayak

Hi, If you're looking at doing your Sea Kayak 3*, I assume you already have your 2*? If that's the case, whilst the Easky boats are very good and very stable, I think you would be better off getting a proper sea kayak, rather than the more touring oriented Easky. I speak from experience as my son ha...

P&H CAPELLA 166 FOR SALE

Hi, I'm selling my Capella 166. It's in good overall used condition, with the usual scratches. Skeg in full working order. I...
