Re: Lifeproof warranty returns
I bought direct from lifeproof but that shouldn't matter. First one was 12 months or so. Second was 18months.
I just filled in the warranty claim form on the website. No quibbles or questions. Just dispatch emails for the replacement.

Two replacements for my fre case. First one was because I'd damaged one of the microphone membranes. Emailed them explaining this. New case in the post next day. Second one was because some of rubber around the screen was peeling off. New case by FedEx about two days later. As long as it's a genuine...

Cheers for the link Jam bo. I've seen it before but never noticed the bit that shows predicted tides vs actual tide times. 62ish here and an XL sweet strutter fits. other sweet helmets don't.
if it s anything like bike helmets its not just the diameter, its the shape. Giro XL's fit me well, Fox are really uncomfortable.

Re: Axiom 8.5 vs Axiom 9.0
I bought a 9.0 second hand and paddled it for a while. it was ok but it was way too big for me (5'10", 180lbs) and I felt a bit lost in it.
I've got a 8.5 now that I really like but its not a lazy boat. if you drive it hard it'll respond really well but if you sit back it'll give you a kicking.

reef breaks are a double edged sword.
you can always watch or take time out in the channel if you're uncomfortable.
if you get caught and take a beating its probably going to be a biggy.
