Re: Anybody know Stephen Mosse

Hi Stephen,

Its not great but not bad, make a useful pair of splits, the gaffer tape was still on the blades when we found it so maybe a spare pair, might be a nice excuse as well to go paddle the river again.

Anybody know Stephen Mosse

Hi, Myself and a mate were on the Lyon and we came across a paddle. We found it quite close to the bank and though it’s not in great shape it didn’t look all that bad and would probably be OK for a spare or a set of splits. Anyhow we weren’t able to carry it out so we lifted it up the bank on river ...

its like most rivers up this way in that it runs when it rains and when there has been no rain it is dry, pretty much either nothing or all out. its a stright grade four run and is pretty sustained right the way alaong with very few if any breaks which makes it awesom and probably one of my favourit...

Carron Gorge

Ran the carron Gorge just up near Achnasheen (highlands) on the 11/7/2010, there are quite a few trees down in the gorge, you can slip through and we were running at a pretty high level but just take care. the first falls at the bridge also has two trees lying over the line so maybe best avoiding th...

Re: Kayak sledging

Keep it coming guys, i like the imput of the weight of the kayak, i never thought how important this could be on the way back up the hill, the burn certainly loses half point in my view for this new catorgery. are people doing it with feet in or out, different levels of control are achieved through ...

Kayak sledging

Hi all, what with the snow i thought it might be fun to compare which kayaks sledge the best. I have found the Burn to work very well but it does struggle to turn due to its size and weight but it handles bumps well and you are well protected. 3 out of 5 the master tg did well, its long shape helps ...
