Great photos, it's on my list to do!

Where will the step be? I hope it's not some kind of sill? Another Bolham weir in the making?

Boat in car...

Just to save mpg & drag, I can fit the boat inside my new car.

Obliviously I don't want to ruin the inside..

so...Does any one do dry bags that a boat like a wavesport diesel will fit in?

Hi Mark, I'm suprised no one has suggested Kate Bush instead of PJ Harvey? (Google, Along with Prawle) Also check out ramblin man by Lemon Jelly. Great Idea!

How about what you did on your holidays? Your Scotland epic, probably of interest to sea paddlers down here...

Plus a paddle somewhere?

Keep the zone!

All the things that make the burn good on rivers will make it rubbish in the surf.

Take the zone (inazone?)!

You will need the rails to have any sort of control. Plus theres always the chance of a flatspin during your ride.

Probably not much chance for tomorrow....

But...

I'm off playing on my motorbike Sunday, so I can almost guarantee rain of biblical proportions on the Blandford Dorset area & possibly a reasonable level on the Dart!

When does the fishing season start in Wales?

There is the rescue symposium at LLangollen coming up soon. Myself & a few friends might make the journey up from Devon. As Chris says, Torbay gets surf on an Easterly, windy & cold. The waves do not last long after the wind drops but we do have some good days. In Summer, the Seafront lighting helps prolong the evenings surfing. 3 hours either side of low water is usually best. Dumpy at high water so take your bodyboa...

Re. The notice.

This isn't new information, the DNP have, for a number or years, had a leaflet about canoeing on the moors which mentions that the hour before sunrise & hour before sunset is meant to allow time for the wildlife to do their stuff. Having seen a slide show/presentation by a local natural history phot...
