Re: Deck popping

What decks did you use Joey? Anyone else had a problem with dagger kayaks and decks? I tried it again today on the artifical white water course and it popped again. I hit one of the fake boulders, rolled over, came up and the whole deck had caved in. I ended up borrowing a camaro one, which was noti...

Re: flat water playin

I've only just got into playboating and found that by far the easiest trick to learn is the stern squirt. Hell you can squirt a river runner to some extent. Big edge, lean the "wrong" way, lean back and it just happens. The double pump is taking me a while to get. I did my first one today onto the s...

Re: Deck popping

Thanks for the responses. It just seemed weird that my deck goes on easily, wehreas the others i tried took a real eefort to fit the cockpit on my g force. I'll try them all again today on the slalom course. Have sent email to peak as well asking for advice.

Deck popping

I've bought a dagger g force 6.1 and use a peak uk standard deck (neoprene one) with it. I've had the deck for maybe 6 weeks and it feels a little odd. Someone pointed out that it was a little too big for me round the waist - im sure it fitted when i bought it. The edge around the front frayed very ...

kayak on a train?

I'm looking at buying my first boat this week, but as a car-less student i'll be taking the train to go and demo it. Can i take it back on the train? 6,1 playboat, so not massive and definetly man portable! Anyone ever tried this before? Just asking on here before going down to the station later. ch...

River play v Play

Whats the difference between play and "river play" boats please? Will a river play boat still flat water cartwheel/loop... and can you run rivers in a flat water playboat?

many thanks
Ian

Re: First Boat

Thanks for all the replies so far. To make things more complicated, i'm going to throw the wave sport project 45 and 52 into the mix. Would they be more suitable perhaps? Hopefully i can demo either of those two boats locally and hopefully both the dagger agent 6.0 and 6.2 Would need to travel to fi...

First Boat

I'm looking at buying my first kayak. I've got my 3* white water, had limited experience kayak surfing and a fair bit of playing on weirs etc but haven't done any river running yet. Although i need to start river running to get my experience up, I'm at uni far away from any white water, so would lik...
