My mums partner live around the area and I asume (I certainly would and he could be tempted to join you) if you can give me a few days warning and I tell him I will take him to the pub afterwards.

Re: Signals

I've always used a clenched fist with the middle finger extended for one down, if on steep stuff or behind a large rock a paddle held vertically in the air static is one down, much easier to have a signal for 1 down as you could simply repeat it as many times as needed, much more dangerous if a sign...

Re: pins - a breathing tube??

spotted something in a article on the recent congo expedition. A pack that fitted in the front of a buoyancy aid (about the size of a pack of cereal) with a tube that had compressed air in it as a emergency supply to last a few minets in a panic of up to 15 minets if your calm. May be something you ...

Re: What to put a camera in?

Id consider looking into a tough cam, something like the olympus or fuji for the cost of the case, your water proof housing, or a peli case you are nearly half way there to one on ebay, you then keep this camera for dry use and keep the tough one in your BA.

Re: pins - a breathing tube??

As a scuba diver i've often wondered about potentially carrying a very small say a 1.5L 232 bar bottle of O2 on a river or a high nitrox mix (75% o2) (giving me 300L of o2 that for someone breathing fairly quick would last about 5-8 minets id guess 10 at a push) this would be on a 2 meter hose with ...

Make sure that all metal parts are A2 stainless NOT coated or they will rust and or seize in time!
Hope this helps.
