FS: Bliss Stick Mystic Creek Boat (with pics)

Hi I have decided to sell my Mystic as I fancy something with a flat bottom for a bit of a change. I have had the boat a couple of years and it has looked after me well in Scotland and the alps and through my 4*. The boat is in good overall condition and has some scratches but it is a creek boat aft...

Re: Wavesport outfitting quality?

Mine did the same. It had been used a few more times than yours though. I took it back to White Water the Canoe Centre who were amazing. Two days later I had a brand new set of outfitting to replace my one that had gone manky. Unfortunately it does not seem like a one off. My mates project x 48 is g...

Re: Paddle Courier

Paisley Freight. £11.99 they collect from you and deliver the next day. Did this last week when I bought a set of paddles from the forum. Really quick service and allowed me to have a spare set of paddles in the Alps.

Re: Bliss stick outfittings

Hi there I have a set of Bliss Stick XL thigh braces. If they fit your boat then I would be willing to sell. Would take £20 plus postage. I barely used them before realising i preferred the standard ones. Not sure where you are based I am in Reading so you are willing to come and try if you want. Ch...

Thanks for the clarificaiton guys. It seems my initial fears/questions have been answered. Its just a shame they only assess at the weekend at the moment. Roll on them doing week day assessments.

Re: Lee Valley running kayaker course assesments

Am I speaking out of turn when I say that the assessment seemed quite involved!?! I haven't been yet so can only go on what i've been told. I know that the Olympic course is big so agree the assessment does need to be full on to go on that course. However the legacy course to me should be about assi...

Re: Question for the Sanyo Xacti owners

I have an xacti and also had the screen issue. Mine too was sorted by Sanyo under warranty. It appears from forums and other users that they have fixed this issue with the newer models. The only thing I can give a hint on is, it only records for about an hour at a time. Not a problem some might say b...

FS: Peak Creek Deck £30 + p&p

Hi All I am selling my peak creek deck as it just not the right shape and fit for my new Wavesport project x . It is a big deck size 5mm creek deck with a l/xl waist tube. It is in fantastic condition and has been barely used. The big deck will fit the large cockpit jackson boats well and any other ...

Re: WRSI Trident

ARIA230. Are you sure you need a bigger WRSI? I thought they were one size fits all. I have a massive head and tried on the m/l and would have needed padding to make it comfortable. Have you tried one you may be surprised.

Re: How many boats can you fit in a ford transit?

Hi there not sure you if you have considered this (sorry if you have) but: I hate to be the bearer of bad news but the size of van you can hire may be limited to the type of driving licence the driver holds. If you passed your test within the past 10 years and have done no further tests then you wil...

FS: DAGGER OUTLAW £250

Hi all It has come time to sell my wifes Dagger Outlaw. She has just bought a Jackson Villain S and we need the room at home. Re: accomodation Llangollen area

We always seem to end up at the Goat Inn at Maerdy. Rooms are fairly basic but the breakfast is always really good. I think it is about 20-25 per head including breakfast. If you ask they will sort out a drying room for you and there is a big carpark next door too.

Hi Edhunter sorry but we went week before last so was on a solid medium level not the crazy high levels that Wales has experienced this weekend.
If you want to still see a fairly normal level always happy to post!!

Who was the photographer on Serpents Tail?

Hi all A couple of us paddled the Dee from Horseshoe down into Llangollen on Saturday 29th of jan. There was a chap stood taking photos of paddlers on the serpents tail. I gave him my email and he said he would send some of the photos through. I didn't take his details and haven't heard anything yet...

Re: back brace woes...

As promised here are a few photos of how I over came the problem. This is version 2.0 though. I tried rope and cleats but I couldn't get it to work properly. The rope was too thick to route behind the thigh braces and the thigh braces too flexible. This meant when the braces flexed the cleats open a...

Re: back brace woes...

Hi I tried an IR backrest but couldn't get on with it. So I have kept the standard back rest but have rigged a system where I can tighten it from the front of the boat. It's kind of like the Jackson system but I used roof rack straps instead of string. I will try and take pics tomorrow in the light ...

WRSI are realeasing a carbon helmet sometime this year. It looks scarily like the old happy 2 b but with the WRSI retention system so should stay on your head better than the old H2b. No prices been released yet though:-(
