Re: Midge strategies^

In my experience garlic does not make a blind bit of difference. I probably consume about 2 bulbs of garlic a week on average and I am usually the first person to get bitten by the bloody things. The only thing that works is covering up all exposed skin for me. Skin so soft I find only gives about 3...

Re: I don't do politics . . .

I have had a look at the cimate change and energy policies for the big 3 and this is my take: Labour - pro nuclear, pro alternatives, pro carbon capture and storage on coal fired. Do not mention hydro at all (micro or otherwise) but highlight offshore as the major focus Conservative - pro-nuclear, ...

Re: Temporary repairs to wrist seals

I tried something similar on a neck seal. It worked a bit and the repair lasted until I took my cag off after I went paddling. However I felt as if somene was strangling me as the section of innertube did not strech very much making the neck a fair bit tighter than I was used too.

Re: Skiing help for a mate

I have banged my head snowboarding with and without a helmet, the fall without a helmet was on my second day boarding and I was moving quite slowly (walking pace) and I saw stars, suffered whiplash injuries and felt funny for several days! I decided after that I would wear my kayaking helmet out on ...

1 Left your boat jammed under a tree underwater overnight!
2 Snapped your paddle getting into your kayak!
3 Ran and hid in fear as you listened to the large boulders rumbling down your favourite river bed when it is 2 metres higher than your normal spate fun level!!!!!!!

I weigh in about 90kg and I would say I am on the upper limit for the neutron. But I would suggest trying to beg a try out in some different kayaks to see what you feel happy in.

Come off it, I bet every teenager hears those words every day! Just because someone says or listens to a bad word doesnt mean its the end of the world or its going to turn them into some sort of juvenile delinquent. The poster did warn about the language so its not as if it was a surprise to hear it...

I am lucky enough to see them quite often most winters. I quite often drive home from work at 1am and every now and then I get treated to a spectacular show. Absolutely breath taking. I normally stop the car and get out to watch the show.

A good physio is what you want. The doc can give out medications to help relieve pain reduce swelling etc but the advice of a physio is worth 10 doctors any day!

Re: The Planet - I'm so confused!

Simple answer is start build nuclear power stations now until so called green energy is able to produce reliable amounts of affordable electricity and by affordable I mean no price fixing or subsidies. They say that in 10 years the lights will start going out if we do not start building a new wave o...
