Re: Paddle-grip carabiner

I though so too & have got one of those too but was subsequently told it wouldn't be up to the weight of a water filled boat - it's primary function is to allow the rope behind climbers to flow with less friction. "They" are not Canoe Wales (CW), but Canoe Wales Sales and Services. So they are attempting to justify position contrary to their views on access by saying that it is not Canoe Wales whom has decided to charge, but a body called 'Canoe Wales Sales and Services'? Re: Apparently violence is fine, but paddling on a river isn

First thing, the paddler in question isn't me. Second the paddler who it concerns has been pretty much intimidated by potential risk to his job etc into not taking it any further. Third, never mind the access situation, what about the bloke threatening physical violence? Further to that why is the ...

There is currently a tree blocking river left of middle arch under the restaurant at Summerseat. At least one other arch is passable.

There are level indicators now at Aberglaslyn gorge and the Tryweryn. Both based apparently on environmental reasons.

Re: Tyne tour is it possible to portage wardens gorge at all

It is funny that paddlers pay to do the Tyne Tour... if you are not using the camping facilities etc, just going for the day.. seems a bit strange that you have to pay to paddle a river that we can just paddle at any other time. Just saying! I may be wrong but I think there is a guaranteed water re...

Re: RIVER DART (Waterworks Bridge to Buckfastleigh)

I'm not local, but if Canoe England or someone from the south west approached the butterfly farm they could establish why they have closed their car park off to paddlers. If it was suggested that a small fee for paddlers to park was introduced then maybe this would re-establish the egress there. It...
