Just an added thought, if we had a national day/weekend why not each BCU region organise a local event which will hit local papers/media as well as National exposure. I would have thought the Council/Tourist board could have been involved in taking/sponsoring the collection of the rubbish.

First Roll in WW in anger - Yet to be done, can roll on WW when I want to do it (ie a roll by choice) but can't do it when I need to do it (ie Lovers Leap on Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!). Am really frustrated with this but am working on it.

The other good thing about commuting on a bike is it destresses me on the way home from work, my mind wanders away from work matters on to what matters. Bikes and Boats are very compatible.

I agree with the sentiment about not paying for using the rivers but life is too short. If we had a one off license fee of about £50 i think that would be reasonable per year. It costs to go to HPP, the Treweryn, JJ's etc why not elsewhere. An anglers license fee does not give him the right to fish ...

Many thanks for the help you gave to a memeber of Port of Plymouth CA, Clive Ashford who has broken some of his ribs but I believe he is at home now recuperating. Cheers guys for helping him and I will pass your names on to him.

I wear a baseball hat under my helmet when its sunny and that works a treat, I just take out some of the padding and this space is filled by baseball cap. I do the same for cycling skid lid.

I hate to be the messenger of doom but another glorious bone dry day with the sun shining. The local weather forecast for Plymouth is some rain tomorrow(Thursday) but I think it will need a great deal to get the rivers up and working.

I HOPE I'M WRONG!!!!!!!!!

It may be paddling but it may be your colleagues have very lttle of importance in their life except work. I work to do the pleasurably things in life and I give 100% in my job yet I know there are more important things than the photocopier not working.

Picking up on the stowage comment, its about time it was standard on all boats. In reverse logic it sort of encourages paddlers to travel light without safety kit! It cannot be rocket science surely?

To the person who stole the T shirts you have put a doubt in the organisers minds as to whether it is worth doing sometning like this. One paddler has let the whole side down, shame on you and may your river run dry.

Well I had a demo Diesel 75 and it was superb on Sunday on the Dart. My Ferrying and Eddying improved considerably, was it the boat or am I improving, guess a bit of both. I shall go surfing one afternoon this week but it looks like an order is imminent.

Thanks for all that and I did forget to put I'm 6'2" and 14.5 stone and find it difficult to fit in shorter boats, my size 11's. I have to say i'm somewhat confused but hopefully the mist will clear after I have trialled the Diesel on the Dart this weekend. Thank you to the rain gods for wetting us....

Pyranha H3(255) or Diesel 75

Hi I'm somewhere between novice and intermediate on WW and am going to invest in a new boat. Have tried the H3 which is nice and will be trying the Diesel 75 this weekend, weather permitting on the Loop. Any suggestions or comments on these two designs or alternatives. I just want to run rivers and ...
