I guess these sort of people will eventually convince you that all of your valiant effort will not be worth the hassle. A better side of me hopes they will learn the error of their ways, I'm not holding my breath. Many thanks Mark, ignore them and think of the hundreds nae thousands who enjoy and ab...

Last year the t-shirts paid for half of the annual hosting costs of the site, and also helped to make an awful lot of ugly people more attractive
I'll need more than a T shirt to achieve that!!!!

To Paddles Ed, I would say that Paddles always seems a little lightweight on volume. I guess you will say quantity matters but I would like more for my money. CKUK with Playboater added to me seems better value for money. I also think the review articles of new gear takes up too much space and somet...

I still find it amusing/shocking that people are paddling the Irwell. When I was a lad we used to play by the river and it was a stinking putrid mess presume the water quality has improved (my mum said you would have died of poisoning before drowning). It has now become one of the rivers I must padd...

Hi, real name Brian Taylor with a Naval nickanme of Buck, just retired from Royal Navy after 30 years as a Submariner. This is relevant as my boat spends a great deal of time upside down and me trying to drink the Dart. Club members would like me to put my name on the bottom of my boat so they know ...

Just got back from the Loop and its about a foot below the slab (3ft 6" on the gauge). Awesome to back on the Dart despite being very scrapy ,you obviously paddled the Loop last weekend and know of the tree across the river which may be difficult for intro paddlers to get around. No wind and very mi...

Mark as to the Dart, my son and friends went up to the Loop this evening at 1730 and it was 2 feet below the slabs. No paddling possible just yet, it has rained intermittently most of the day and I believe the moor is acting as a sponge at the moment.

As I put on another thread, the very same happened to a Burn I borrowed for a one week WW course in the summer. There was another Burn with the same problem. I think the issue is that the thigh brace is only secured to the hull with one bolt when two or more would add more support to the thigh braces.

I agree with Ryan Clements comments about the Thigh braces which are secured by one bolt and the strain put on them caused them to fold inwards (I had the boat on loan for a week). A great boat that handled well and almost as good as my Diesel 75.

It is something I take a great interest in since anyone who can't get comfortable with their roll is likely to leave the sport. That is something I don't want to see happen. I totally agree as my lack of a good roll is stopping my development in WW and support strokes, as I try to avoid risky manou...

I can concur with the Thigh brace issue, I borrowed a Burn for a week in the Alps and the thigh braces distorted and bent inwards when put under pressure. Its only secured with one bolt and is not strong enough.
