As I said before contact the B.C.U and Access people. At the moment only 20 people have signed the Access campaign postcard and out of apparently '2 million' supposed paddlers in the UK only 500 came to LLangollen. A mass paddle would be lovely but would anyone actually turn up. The access forums ar...

I would suggest emailing the BCU and Access people. I am only going on the titbits I have gleaned. A mass paddle outside parliament is a no go as far as I can see. There is a bit of a securtiy alert at the moment. Even the pidgeons get body searched! For a walking demo you do need a LOT of liasing w...

I think the way things are going just keep to the 100 as a mass paddle in the climate at the moment may do more harm than good. There has been good feedback from the Labour conference and this info will be diseminated soon.

Wow - some almost specific information! Could I trouble you to supply more? Who specifically is representing the BCU there? Who specifically are they planning to approach? What specific aim do they have? How will success/ failure be judged in this strategy? Good questions... and if I had an answer ...

Me neither. The worrying thing is that she is a keen fisher-thingy and is also meant to be looking after our rights as sports boss and also countryside alliance. Bit of a clash of interests.

And worrying if the fishermen can now provide influence at the top level.

Maybe because they are away at the conference. The BCU update I think is fairly recent as there are some site changes in the offing.

Acess Demo

I am not sure why at the mo it is limited to 100 but know we only have car parking spaces for 40 vehicles. Access officers are at the Labour party conference at the moment for 2 days of harassing MP's as long as they don't say nonsense and get bundled out by security! Kate Hoey is the new head of th...

River access

The best person to contact would be Tamsin from the www.riversaccess site. to be honest I'm just the graphics monkey and the northern pesterer of MP's. She would be able to give numners and more details. I know she has been running round doing LAF's for the past few weeks so might be dead on her fee...

BCU Access

True, about the numbers. I do know the rivers access people have been running round like the preverbial blued bottomed fly at the moment. It's one of those thing really of being able to go out and talk to people and update everything at the same time. I am stuck in the same boat with my own little s...

Most of the info can be gleaned from the news pages. At the moment. talks are ongoing so they can get permission to paddle and go into Parliament (so security don't shoot us, ha,ha. - just joking) As far as I understand it only a few representatives will be let in to parliament itself. Some people a...

Embroidery

Embroidery does usually have a lage setup charge so unless you are producing bulk it is ddear. The one we uses has setup of the design at £38 then a couple of quick per shirt and the shirt cost on top. So it can be expensive.
