IF they said the access policy has not changed you could technically park in a layby and walk to the river. As you are not using facilities....

I need clarification on the access position they are undertaking.

The guy on the news talking about the flood down south said the water takes 3-7 days to go through the ground into the rivers so maybe that is why they keep the water for some time.

Richard Harvey has stepped down as CEO of Canoe Wales. I have heard that, being an avid supporter of open access, he was unable to reconcile the CT charging policy with Canoe Wales` stated policy on access. 01 February 2014 Dear Emma, I haven't yet had a chance to congratulate you for your election ...

Strad - I read as people objecting to pay for facilities (why else would someone be asking to see the books so that the charge can be justified?).
Might be because there seems to be some very crazy accounting

Its something I still like to teach when going through spraydeck drills. How to get out (the different techniques) if your band fails or you cannot get to it. It helps to give confidence knowing they can get out in different ways.

They were on the scene in Yalding, Kent, before the emergency services - and captured on camera the dramatic moment the waters rose. John R...

They could charge for parking and using site facilities. River development would have to be done through the council and the welsh river agencies.

It is making sure that a minimum level is evidence based and realistic
Unfortunately, there is evidence from some rivers that minimum, levels are unachieveable and have been made deliberately so to disuade paddling so you can see why people question some 'agreements'.

It is making sure that a minimum level is evidence based and realistic. But having one and then not observing it allows those that oppose canoeing to characterise canoeists as untrustworthy and irresponsible.
