Re: Female Pro Kayakers V Unicorns

, I can think of 3 female pro-boaters who at the peak of their boating made ends meet dancing round a brass pole in Sara's current adopted hometown...so clearly the kayaking part isn't paying well. Ha! Firstly I should point out that I no longer live in the 'Biggest Little City' ( I am currently ba...

Re: Female Pro Kayakers V Unicorns

Reading this has really entertained me. Thank you :) It has also raised some questions that have continued to perplex me, such as: What defines a pro kayaker? Does this require an 'athlete' to actually make any money? Should 'pro' kayakers make any money? Are pro kayakers really photographers, film ...

Re: Californication

I agree with you to a certain extent but I think that some people have a skewed vision of paddling in California. This is an awful drought year, if you had a tick list of High Sierra runs, don't come this year. However it you have a broader enjoyment of kayaking and don't just want to come here to '...

Female Pro Kayakers V Unicorns

I am interested in what different people's perspective is on this one. What do you think? Do female pro kayakers really exist or are they a mythical fictitious creature, like unicorns? ..... I do like unicorns.

Re: New PFD Time

Any inside info on new kit coming out? I hear the Palm FXr is coming out soon. This is like the simple profile FX, but with a rescue harness. Worth a look. I have been wearing the FX for playboating and slalom and find its comfy with a good sized pocked. I think the FXr will be a good, no nonsense ...

Out of interest, what are you bored of reading about? Rr on a positive note - what would you like to read more about? The purpose of this blog is more of a personal challenge for me, but in the process I may as well entertain people where possible!!

Re: Free kayak to a good home

I am based in Northern California. The boat is based in Leeds. You would need to come collect it. Pyrao : I am happy from anyone from Leeds Uni to borrow it, just want one person to kinda be responsible so I know who to contact to get it back. Its a one ball which basically means its small. I am 5'4...

Free kayak to a good home

Note to moderators : I have not put this on the sales board as its not for sale... but feel free to move if you think its more appropriate. I am out the country for the next 18 months minimum and have a boat sitting in my friends garage not being used. Its not the latest freestyle boat but its sure ...

I also would recommend jolly boys. May be able to get a cheaper deal at their 'sister'campsite which is a bit out of town. Shuttles wise KTZ is the only viable option if you want to paddle everyday and pick what sections you want. If your interested in coaching /guiding, Love it live it (lili) run t...

You'll probably be OK in a kayak, but it doesn't sound like you're cut out for life as a raft guide...
:)

I paddle hard rivers to impress the boys. Kayakers and raft guides make such desirable partners.
