Re: Tahe Marine Reval owners opinions?

Hi Asmar,

As has already been said, the Skeg is plenty big enough in a force three. I would also add that I personally think the Midi is more suited to beginners than the Capella.

Hope this helps and good luck with the business.

Re: Tahe Marine Reval owners opinions?

Hi Asmar,

I am fairly confident they will, I am a 10 and have loads or room and the foot pegs are rounded rather than a plate like a Valley for example so more potential to angle the feet too.

Try before you buy though!

Re: looking for two sea kayaks

Can I suggest that anything you manage to buy for £100 shouldn't go on the sea as it would be unlikely to be sea worthy!!!
Thanks,

Re: Which Sea Kayak

I don't want to say it but Try them first and yes I guess Pete can be trusted. You have chosen three completely different boats there though as has been said. From what you have said you would like to do I would recommend the Explore S but the Alaw Bach may fit you better so try them both. Not sure ...

Re: Tahe Marine Reval owners opinions?

I have a demo plastic rival midi based in the NE if anyone wants to try it? Seems like a reasonable boat for middle to heavy weight - good secondary stability, reasonably fast and responsive. Rudder is very well made but I find the pedals are too upright and cant find an easy way to adjust them? I b...

Hi Dave, May be able to help with contacts if you can tell me where you are going? I have a contact with gear in region 11 North of San Rafael Galacier and may be able to put you in touch with someone for Terra Del Fuego. They are a very long way apart though which I am sure you know. pm me if you w...

Thanks Andrea, some lovely pics. It looks like you went past Soay to the North from West to East? Did you notice any tidal movement as I seem to remember the tide always runs West through there? The inlet to the North of Soay is a bit spooky - did you go in there? Is there some story that goes with ...

Nice link Arno,

Looks like he did some traveling. The little harbour in Berwickshire can be a great place to surf in with the right conditions, swell from the NE!

Re: Wing Paddles...why not available in a crank?

Epic views very interesting and great to see that a manufacturer is reacting to the customer rather than trying to tell us what we should like. In my opinion a wing paddle has a more positive catch and so you can have a more relaxed grip at the start of the stroke allowing you to reach further forwa...

Re: Sean M on surfing sea kayaks

I would argue the the Delphin is not realy a sea kayak in the classic sense. There are two main differences, the bow is broad and has a lot of volume and secondly I think the seat position is quite far back meaning that the stern is already loaded in a neutral seating position. Even if this is not t...

Another vote for the Typhoon Extreme, the hood does not stow completely like a Peak into the collar but does have two sturdy popers on a flap that holds the hood down and it can be rolled quite tightly so reducing any risk of the hood filling with water. The hand warmer pockets are great at lunch ti...

I was paddling gently along Bamburgh beach just about to land having led a trip round the fantastic Farne Islands when suddenly my 2 piece Werner Corryvreckan came apart - I thought perhaps the button had been pressed in but turns out it had completely ruptured about 3mm from the joint at the slight...

Hi Jay
was using a small Sanyo Xacti HD waterproof job
I find the Canon D10 video to produce as good pics as the Xactia but with far less wind noise - used both to film skiing and snow boarding on the move and the Canon is streets ahead.
