Sorry Steve - very badly worded

"Ask Andy about his boat !! did Steve forget to say about his swim as well."

should have read

"Ask Andy about his boat !! did Steve forget to say about Andy's swim as well."

You are still an Alpine God please forgive me!

Waterproof Camera - Water on the lens problem

I have just bought a Pentax wp camera - it is a great little camera and the pictures are superb. The only problem is when you use it on the water the lens gets covered with droplets of water. Any one got any good ideas for cleaning it - a dry cloth is obviously not available and a wet finger doesn't...

Open Canoe Wanted

Open Canoe Wanted, must be suitable for white-water (grade 2-3).

preferably with air bags and paddles.

Location N.Wales or N.West would be best, but would consider other locations.

If you have such a boat or spot one please email me jowen (at) jjv.co.uk

Mark

Could you not just create a new forum just for kit reviews, and just ask people to use a structured title such as:

Product Type, Manufactures Name, Product Name

Eg
kayak, Liquid Logic, Hoss
Helemt, Pro Tec, Safe ?

That way the archive would form a useful reference and not to much work.

i don’t think some ppl understand the way that CT works. the lower Tryweryn isn’t exactly a wild river due to the fact it would be dry with out the work that the centre staff do to get the releases. Quote from CT Website " Canolfan Tryweryn does not have any control over water releases". They may p...

I contacted the seller to ask him what the 'Canoe' was called, who produced it and when. He had no idea just that it was made of fibre glass and comes with ‘Padles’

The poor guy must be overwhelmed with all the interest in his U-boat - 286 views so far!

Has anyone seen a worse looking boat?

I would like to point out my comments in this post were said entirely in jest, and I have a great deal of respect for all canoe coaches and I suspect they are all over worked and UNDER paid, I just needed to keep this post at the top for a few days. I thought my first post adequately set out what we...

We took a beginner on this river a few weeks ago and he loved it, plenty of small rapids and very scenic. There are a couple of weirs near the end to watch out for, the first is just after a road bridge and shouldn't be a problem the second is best portaged. The river guide says left be we have alwa...

Canoe Coaches - Over worked and over paid

Right, that's got your attention How did I come to this conclusion. Well one week and 85 views after requesting coaches to help out Llangollen Canoe Club I have received no replies, so either No Coaches visit this site - I know this is not true. The coaches who do visit the site are to stupid to wo...
