I've been reading this thread with interest. It's Ginger.

Buy a Jackson Superstar. Great boat with excellent outfitting. My playboating has moved on to another level with the superstar.

Wanted: 2nd hand kayak for my 10 year old daughter...

<r>We are looking for a kayak for my daughter who has just started paddling. She is a very tall 10 (ie taller than her teacher at school!). The sort of thing we are after is a Perception Corsica S (which she has paddled), a Perception Sparc, or even an Inazone 212. Obviously there are plenty of othe...

Hi Mountainboy, thanks for letting me know. Hmmm... this is odd? Is anyone else having a problem seeing the links? I can see them... I'll look tomorrow from my work pc. Do you see the Amazon links to the Welsh White Water and White Water Lake District books?

Disillusioned with Canoe England

I am disillusioned with Canoe England. I join each year and apart from getting a magazine, I really can’t see another benefit of joining? I am a basic member having given up coaching, as unfortunately I just don’t have the time. Strangely, I still get sent all the coaching bulletins though? When I d...

Paddle slalom for a season, and then you'll naturally avoid them!
Won't this turn you into a miserable git? (apologies to non HPP slalom paddlers who in my experience are friendly and helpful!)

The photos don't do the steepness of the wave justice. It was very steep and wtih good eddy servce too! I would suggest avoiding the middle as it didn't look very nice in there.

Just back from Trent Lock. River Trent gauge was on 3.36 when I left home at 11:30, but is now at 3.27, so I guess this won't last for long!

Hi Tom It was interesting because: · I normally paddle a playboat. In fact in four and a half years of paddling I have hardly paddled anything else; · This was my second outing in my "lurvly" Burn; · Having scouted it from the road and then from the bank, I decided it looked different. Having got on...

One shuttle car rivers - North Wales - 5th March Monday

Can anyone suggest any North Wales rivers that you only need one car to shuttle and don't require huge hikes to get back to the car? ie The Dee - Horseshoe falls to Llangollen then back up the canal, or the Tryweryn - Park up at the top, paddle to the centre and carry back up. These are just about o...

I work for an SAP consultancy company (that's IT for those who don't know what SAP is).

As to whether I am a "rogue"? - well there is no access agreement on the Dee.

Looks like today we don't have any choice - back to the concrete ditch. :-(

I daren't start anything major just in the case the phone does ring and I am needed somewhere ur...
