Re: Back band

I've fitted a few of the IR Flex Capacitors in my time and they always seemed to work pretty well. It depends on what seat-pillars you have really as to how easy it will be. I should think you'll be fine with a Reggie in that boat. Not sure if they make the the Flex capacitor anymore but the Reggie ...

You could try these but I would say the occurence is likely to be too rare to justify the extra expense and kit.

I its about being faster than the flow.... What is not best practise for going faster than the flow is the use of reverse strokes to maintain your line and position within the rapid, as this solution often recreates more problems than it solves, Hmmmm.....You may have just outlined the problem with...

Re: Keen Hood River Boot- Good/Bad?

I find them quite alright. They are somewhere inbetween a boot and a wetsuit boot. Quite nice and warm, bit of a bugger to put on sometimes.
Seem as grippy as most shoes I've tried. Pretty good.

I was in a similar position, wanted to test out the fisheye effect cheaply. I bought this one from Amazon for around £45 for my Nikon D40 with either my fixed 35mm or 18-55mm lenses. Its good for a laugh but as mark says, the colour isn't great around the edges and you get funny effects going on(I a...

Re: Small Van for Kayaking

Remember they are basically a box travelling at speed so are not areodynamic. ....... You can get boats inside the swb tran connect but buy a roof rack its easier. So you have boats on the roof, and you can only get 1 other person in the van legally, may as well get a car then surely? 3-4 people in...

Even if you have to keep taking the nuts off it tends to make them stay put better.

Ian, I remember having to heave our boats over some sort of gate. I definitely don't think you could have driven all the way down to the river. I remember there being mine workings down at the bottom beyond a gate (possibly a big red metal one if I recall...). There were no people down there and it ...

Adrenaline Travel Insurance. Cover me for the stuff you want to do, the price is a lot better than dogtag and they let you paddle/climb what you want. As said above, a combination is good if you can fit it in. With luck, you'll mostly find it warm and sunny and if you have a swim in cold water, a quick lie out on the bank in the sunshine is enough to warm your bones again. Sometimes though you may be in deepish valleys where the sun can dip behind...

Being able to buy D30 sheets would be nice. When is someone going to make a camera bag in it.... Edit - In fact it looks like you can now get it made in sheets which could be made to fit inside a drybag very easily.... Re: Crack in my boat - Advice?

Probably best to take it into a dealer to have it assessed. If its in an area of high stress such as a seam line it mat be a bit more difficult to repair.
I just had a split filled in the bottom of mine, cost about £25. I don't expect it ever to be as strong though sadly.
Take it into a shop....
