Nationaol Student Rodeo, history and background?
I'm writing a feature piece on NSR for a uni assignment and after digging around a bit on the web I'm struggling to come up with anything relating to the history of the event, when it started, how it started, which uni's have traditionally been involved etc. If anyone has any information that they c...

Sounds like Dr Bannisters in Long Churns cave near Alum pot(Side of Ingleborough)? If I'm correct someone has done that in a kayak.

Re: Wezzit?
Having been through it I think you're probably right, although if I remember correctly there is a waterfall in the cave that looked a bit more possible... (Probably isn't at all). Got to be some gems hidden under the Dales somewhere.

Re: Lining in my helmet's rubbing my head?
No it fits well, I always have this problem with helmets, think having a skinhead just magnifies it a bit, I'm going to try a skull cap and if that doesn't work I'm going to get rid of the mesh in the helmet.

Re: Lining in my helmet's rubbing my head?
Think I'll go for the velcro option, I would grow my hair long but I have been struck down with a receding hairline!
Thanks for the advice.

Lining in my helmet's rubbing my head?
I have a Shred Ready, Standard Full Cut helmet and the mesh that helps hold the padding in at the front is rubbing my head to bits, has anyone got any experience of cutting the mesh out and popping a bit of glue on the pads?
Thanks
Tom
Thanks

Re: For Sale- Riot Thunder 65, one repair.
Bump, someone needs this boat. It's a white water craft like no other, it boofs that well you can boof it upstream, I made the first ascent of low force in it t'other month. It rolls better than a 60 year old Rastafarian in Amsterdam. It doesn't catch eddies, it makes eddies. Pretty sure the design ...

For Sale- Riot Thunder 65, one repair.
Riot Thunder 65 in green for sale, fairly well used condition with one repair on the rail pictured below, still fully watertight and should be fine up to grade 3, outfitting included ratchet backband and I'll include the airbags too, nice UK river boat for a paddler up to about 70kgs ideally, surfs ...

Liquid Logic Pocket Rocket for sale!
Selling my much beloved Pocket Rocket as I really need the cash to fund a Scotland trip and I've ate a few too many pies for it to be suitable for me any more! She's yellow, would suit a smaller paddler (Teenagers, kids, ladies ideally under 65kgs and 5,5" in height) pretty scratched from river use ...

Re: Thigh brace modifications?
The outer part of them doesn't touch my thighs or knees in any way, my knees just sit in the well under the deck really. Makes me more prone to having to readjust myself under the water whilst rolling up to avoid my lags falling out!

Thigh brace modifications?
Recently bought a second hand Riot Thunder and I love it, my only annoyance is that the thigh braces are next to useless. So what are my options? Has anyone got any experience of ripping them out and replacing them with a home made DIY job? Thinking something long the lines of gluing some minicell i...

Left my glasses on the railway platform next to the old station at Halton, they're balanced on a little ledge, if anyone finds them I'd be happy to bank transfer money for there safe return!

Grim video, the guy in question is Cedric Gracia, absolute beast of a mountain biker. Used to throw massive tricks half way through his downhill runs. Glad he was OK.

Re: Big waterfalls and the use of cameras
I don't know if i think cameras are to blame for the whole big waterfall phenomena, but I do think that after a certain height there's only so much skill involved and the rest is down to sheer luck. I would much rather watch someone run a hard technical rapid like site zed or cauldron snout than thr...

If you're not too bothered about it being breathable you could treat it with something like fabsil as a last resort.
