Both are seakayaks build to take gear and paddled in rough water if needed. the Atlantic is a more condifence giving boat. more stalbe less fast. if the shit hits the fen i rahter have an atlantic then the etain. but if it ain't. the etain is faster and more elegant.

When is started it was forbidden to have any support all had to be carreid in the boat. Since then the race has changed a bit to the thing it is now. The support was a number of years compulsary. You can pick up an good older k1 for under 300. comming from the netherlands I aslo not no easy access to the course. on the 4 day it is less of a problem then in the non stop. spenidng a weekend or 2 on the course will help. some will paddle the rae in a plastic canoe others in a 6 kg racing boat. ...

Brasca makes very nice paddles, not sure why to look further. jantex beta is very close to the brasca 4. lettmann is differnt but good as well. I did mine dw races with epic mids. Richmond isthe place to be. It is a club with a long and recent connection to the race. We can store your boat there, bur i thnik they have at least 50 club k2 suitable for the dw race. For beginners and the ones that win the race..

They are sure polo boats. 95\% in my mind sais rotobat as well.
