Re: North Shore Atlantic rm vs Valley Etain 17.7 rm

Both are seakayaks build to take gear and paddled in rough water if needed. the Atlantic is a more condifence giving boat. more stalbe less fast. if the shit hits the fen i rahter have an atlantic then the etain. but if it ain't. the etain is faster and more elegant.

Re: Devizes to Westminster guestion

When is started it was forbidden to have any support all had to be carreid in the boat. Since then the race has changed a bit to the thing it is now. The support was a number of years compulsary. This year I see it is not any more. for me hthe main reasons to have support first of all for safety. th...

Sorry I do not know such a thing. This is a copy of some years ago: Start as soon as possible, get a nice light stable boat where you (both) feel good in. a pair of wings. Train aprox 3 times a week. Try to focus on technigue and endurance first and get some speed after that say in autumn. try to pa...

Re: Creek boating in europe, looking for info, contacts or paddling partners

temperature is the key element, you are early in the season. Not sure about the snow pack in the cevennen at the moment. If it melts when you are there, you hit the jackpot. If it is late; cold and misirable. Most years the guys from kayaksession have a eastermeet on corsica. They will have all ins ...
