There is currently a tree right across the river at sd682 684 which is just after the railway bridge as you enter High Bentham. It may be passable in higher water, but portage looked reasonably simple, again may be a different case at higher water

Tree across the river around NY 25485,23861. When we paddled it today @ 1m at Portinscale there was a shingle bank you could use to inspect. Its passable for experienced paddlers, more of a challenge for a novice.
Few dead sheep in the water as well sadly.

Paddled this today, parked at the Church carpark at the bottom of Eccleston, bit of a faff to get on the water but nothing too bad. River was nice gentle flow, 0.4m at Croston. Any more to add on the Hodder? hoping to run it before new year, are the fishermen still as angry? Is there an ideal level? Any hints or tips? Cheers
