Re: Carrying a composite kayak on roofrack

I think Thule recommend no less than 700 mm btw bars. A few mm when it's someone else's kayak should be grand. Lol.

Hi, anyone know / guess what would be the minimum width between racks to carry a Romany Latitude? My Audi A4 2007 has fixed points in the doors at a width of 690mm. My soon to be gone Mazda 6 is at 890mm. Using thule areo bars with thule k guard carriers. So question is will 690 mm be ok?

Take care.

Re: Learning from mistakes!

Whilst practising self rescues by my lonesome, I lost contact with my boat. No danger to myself as I was in a lake with little wind. However as I swam after my boat, I was also pushing the boat further away. I had a choice, let go of my paddle and calmy swim to my boat slowly taking time or watch my...

Re: Energy drinks

How about pre paddle intake? I must admit to being very slack often and squeeze something in. Do others out there have set routine that works for them?

Hi, was I was daydreaming about a holiday / paddle destination today and came across Cassis to Marseille. Thought that would be a fantastic way to enter a city.

Anyone have any personal favourites?

As reported on ABC great southern news service. "Kayaker swims 1km to shore: A man luckily survived after abandoning his kayak and swimming more than 1km to shore during rough swells off the south coast late last week. Police say a man was in his kayak at Waychinicup last Friday afternoon when heavy...

Neck Issues.

Hi, had a run in with scan cancer a while ago and needed surgery around the neck area. Now I find it hard to tolerate the squeeze of a dry cag. I was looking at the Nookie Storm Jacket which looks good for the depths of winter but would like recommendations for an in-between summer winter job. Thank...

Re: sea sickness issues

A similar thing happened to myself a long time ago. It was just a matter of reorientation so to speak. The next time I went out, no problems. I guess the hard drive needed rebooting.

Thin booties.

Hola, After buying a new boat I've discovered my Lomo booties soles are too thick. Any recommendations on something similar but thinner?

Take care.
