Re: A little video for your entertainment.

I do like it every much, shows another reason for the wife and I getting into it.....it's so peaceful. Love that sound of nothing but the paddling. The water looks very dark and deep.

£250?? You'll double your money when you sell it. One just went for £500 on eBay with new rear hatch cover and no thigh braces.

Kayak storage

Our garage is 15.5ft with slightly less internal size so I was wondering how best to store a kayak larger than this? Would we need to build or buy a stand alone rack or just lay it across some timers wrapped in a sheet and tarp? Although that's a bit unsightly. We plan on doing away with the garage ...

I see them too but I also read from p&h they no longer support those and strongly advise they're not to be used due to possible week integrity of the plastic. However I do like them.

I guess these straight arm techniques means less if any correction as it reduces the chance of turning via your stronger side.

Re: New member looking for first kayak advice

Funny I've been thinking the same. I'm 6ft and 13st exactly but sizes say smaller paddler or suit the larger paddler? I'm neither..I'm perfect lol. I don't want to feel like I can't get out if I bail doing a roll and don't want to feel like I will fall out mid roll either. I'm right by woodmill but ...

Re: sea sickness issues

I've been sick on a boat once when I was 8. I went fishing off the needles when I was already feeling sick. I ended up with a face full of it lol. Lesson learned much to the amusement of the others on the boat. Thankfully I don't suffer any I'll effects from a rolling sea.

might have one or two MV scorpios available around new year if they’d interest you. We’re in Cornwall.
I'm open to all options if the price is right. Googled that kayak, looks the ticket. Bit of a trek but in winter the roads should be clearer. It would have to be 2 though given the distance.

I think that's a high-end drysuit vs a low end kayak. Looking at it the other way, a Lomo drysuit is £225 and a Cetus Expedition Kevlar Carbon is £4360.

Hmm, ok. Sounds a better price.

Looking on Southampton canoes a drysuit costs the same as a kayak so they are extremely expensive.

Re: Help a newbie choose first sea kayak.

Decided to wait till the sales. I see some shops had some cracking deals last Christmas/new year, and of course there's black Friday. I cannot justify the over inflated used prices that are close to retail and there's no chance of us getting out this year anyway with covid and the wife in the severe...

Just giving it a little push to the top. I'll take 1 for now if no one has a pair. Bugdet around £900-£1k for 2 but could increase it for the right kayaks.
