I'm not to sure that you should be too worried about carrying a sea kayak on a small car. Most full size kayaks are longer than the cars that carry them. The critical factor is whether one can procure a decent roof rack for the car. This can be an issue with some two/three door cars with short roof ...

It's clearly of appeal to some as P&H fitted one to later versions of the Delphin. I certainly would like to hear their reason for not including one on this boat. Just wondering why one would design a sea kayak with a focus on day trips and play without a day hatch. Having seen owners of older Delphins having to deal with large bags on the deck, this seems to be a compromise too far.
