Locking mechanism on Celtic paddles
Hi there I'm in the market for a new paddle and I'm very interested in getting my hands on a Celtic paddle. I'm unsure what to go for with regards to locking mechanism. Preferably I'd like to have a paddle where I can change the feather and length so the "nylon leverlok" looks promising. However, I ...

Re: Valley Sirona 16.1 RM - fit?
Thanks for the replies. I finally managed to demo a Sirona 16.1 RM after quite a drive. Sadly, I found the thigh braces a bit uncomfortable since they dug into my thighs. Any ideas on whether it would be possible alter the braces in anyway? Or would lowering the seat perhaps solve it?

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, I don't live in the UK so I won't be able to take your up on your offer. Might I ask how tall you are, Fozzy? Just for comparison. I'm 6.1 and weigh about 175 lbs.

However, I don't really have the option of trying it out before placing an order, so I'm looking for some advice about how it fits. I currently own a Tiderace Xcite which fits me very well, before I boug...

Re: Advice - cracks and hairline cracks in gelcoat
Hi, Got caught up in a lot of christmas family events, so haven't had time to sit down and reply. As you suggest, I will leave the scratches alone. In fact, they look quite minor now, and as you mentioned it actually looks like the boat has been paddled ;-) I guess the first scratch is indeed the de...

Advice - cracks and hairline cracks in gelcoat
Hi there, Yesterday, I was out paddling close to a rocky coastline, and at one point the hull of my kayak scraped a rock. Inspected the damage afterwards and found a few scrapes and a small crack in the gelcoat + a some fairly small hairline cracks going out from where I bumped against the rock - I ...
