Isle of Wight trip October 2019

Anyone keen for doing a iow circumnavigation trip ? I am flexible with dates and it can be anytime in October
I don’t mind how leisurely the pace is.(could struggle though to do it in one day but willing to try)
If anyone is interested Please pm with your number

Re: First drysuit....

Ok thanks for your thoughts.i still can't understand why crewsaver made the socks so small for .ridiculous really .I imagine they will be getting more of them being returned.the Hammond ones look good aswell as they can be fully customised to fit

Re: First drysuit....

Ok .looking at it again the socks definitely seem too tight.I could swap it for a XL but then it will possibly be too big in other areas and I am well within there size large .maybe I should have just got the palm one as I'm familiar with there sizes but I had read they can leak.the typhoon multispo...

First drysuit....

After a few very cold paddles last winter I decided to go out today drysuit shopping .as I'd only use the suit for a few months a year I didn't want to spend too much on one .in the end I got a crewsaver atacama sport which came with a under fleece .(more for dinghy sailing but states on label for k...

Re: Stiff hands

Re: South coast paddle buddies

Hi seaford probably is a bit far (I'm near chichester) anyway I've been looking into IOW circumnavigation for a while and definitely want to do it sometime soon - for intermediate boaters I think 3 days is probably realistic .Did a bit of a look about down there the other week the west of the island...

Re: Mackerel parasites

I think the worms in question are harmless when the fish is cooked or so I've been told.I bought a fresh pollack once direct from fishermen and had the worms inside.i was told they usually die when the fish are put on ice .Anyway I was about to cook the fillets left them in pan for few minutes came ...

Re: Stiff hands

Early signs of Arthritis possible I guess .maybe something worth looking into . I have done a lot of manual hands on jobs so that might be the case .but I do wear thick wetsuit gloves when on the water and only 25 so it can't related to cold water ..I have had those typical kayaker thumbs for a few ...

Re: Stiff hands

I could be gripping the paddle little bit hard but .i don't get this problem though when on easier paddle .i was once stupid enough once to think I could paddle across fast tide race lol ending up getting to shore with a struggle a little further down the beach than planned .

Stiff hands

Having a bit of trouble recently with my hands when out paddling when I'm heading into strong headwind and going against the tide.strangely I have done this a lot as I like the challenge but after a few hours of hard padding my hands can just go really stiff and pretty useless for a while .i guess i...

Would be good if there is anyone near here ( chichester area ) which fancies regularly paddling. I usually go out at least once a week for 2-4 hrs .I go out in most weather conditions for building up experience and fitness level.on rough seas I will take the sit on top though .looking to progress fu...
