Stohlquist Shift Drysuit
Heyup Has anyone tried the Stohlquist Shift drysuit? It looks like a good bit of kit. Hard to find in the UK or europe but I'm going to the US at the end of September. Particularly interested in fit. Ive read somewhere that the top is a little snug. Nowhere in San Francisco stocks it so may have to ...

Full Plate Footrests
Heyup
Does anyone know of a U.K. supplier of full plate footplates that could be retro fitted to a Valley Etain. Preferably not a foam block. Something like

Re: Delphin 155 or Scorpio LV
Oban sea kayaks. The Virgo will have to be very good to tempt me away from the Stratos, which for the price is a lovely kayak, ok the hatches aren't that great and its only single layer plastic, but its a great sporty little kayak, depends what you want to do though, it would be less than ideal for...

Re: Delphin 155 or Scorpio LV
What about the new Virgo ? Haven’t tested one yet but hear good things, will be trying one in August along with the Zegul arrow play and others, meanwhile i will enjoy my Stratos Does look good. Sounds odd but I’m reticent about getting something, because it’s so new, with so little known. Though it...

Re: First Sea Kayak Used P&H Delphin
The Scorpio mk2 with corelite x is a completely different boat to that of the mk1 version as linked by rockhopper. I paddle the Scorpio mk2 corelite and I love it ! It does everything I want a boat to do. Good initial and secondary stability, manoeuvrable and more than enough room for touring. In m...

Re: Delphin 155 or Scorpio LV
I’m biased towards the Scorpio, but only because it’s such a good boat and does everything I ask of it. It surfs well, but once or twice the bow has dug in as @charleston14 says, but it soon lifts back out when you turn. https://media.ukriversguidebook.co.uk/uploads/70355/1563607843437-6056.png Is ...

Re: Delphin 155 or Scorpio LV
How big are you? Scorpio LV is designed for smaller than average people, and Delphin 155 for larger than average. 5'7"/76-80kg out of the shower. P&H (and others) have said that unless I am doing lots of multi day the LV is for me. http://www.phseakayaks.com/kayaks.php?kayak=Scorpio%20MKII%20LV%20CLX

Delphin 155 or Scorpio LV
Evening all. I know the two boats are different but just wondering what the collective think really. After a bit of a do it all boat. I’d love to say I need one for multi day expeds but unfortunately the odd one. Mainly for day paddling/coaching/weekends etc. They both seem to tick a lot of boxes bu...

Re: Adapting Carbon Paddles
Depending on your feather you might find the holes are too close together if you drill another for LH use. A better option would be to speak to Celtic paddles and see if any of their variable joints can be retrofitted instead of paddlock in the centre. If they can't help (for technical reasons they...

Re: Adapting Carbon Paddles
To help me understand what you're looking for, what is it about the Leverlok that doesn't do what you want it to? That's a fair question, apart from continuous feather and length adjustment (both of which a lever lock provides), what else is there to want from a shaft connector? It is indeed a very...

To help me understand what you're looking for, what is it about the Leverlok that doesn't do what you want it to? Im probably being a thick to be honest! This is the reply I received from Celtic "Hello Simon, the index grip on your 2 pieces would be wrong for a left-hand feather so would need remov...

Hi
Thanks fro the reply. Day to day. I occasionally have to let L hand paddlers use my paddles. Yes it was the lever lock.

Adapting Carbon Paddles
Heyup Question re paddles. I have a set of Right handed Lendal Full Carbon Kinetic Touring 2 piece with Paddlock. Is it possible to get an adaptor/drill etc to make them adjustable to L or R handed and possibly feather? Celtic paddles have an adaptor but doesn't do everything I want to do. Many Than...
