Hi
Make sure you portage the weir at Riding Mill, there has been 4 fatalities in the last 2 years.
It's not worth the risk..!

Bourg releases

Hi All
Does anybody know the state of play about water releases at Bourg on the Isere. I've heard because of maintenance on the dam that there is shortage of water and so there will be very little releases over summer. Is this so?

Cheers

Re: Tees barage or Hpp

Hi
I prefer Hpp, more fun and little bit chunkier. I've really gone off the Barrage since the developments. You might get more hits if you were to post on the inland page rather than the for sale page.

Good luck and enjoy whatever you decide.

Re: Boofing and seat position

Do people really think about how they boof this much? River boating is all just paddling forwards and leaning a bit (if you are paddling backwards something has gone wrong) . Boofing is paddling forwards off a drop then leaning forward. If your head is full of complicated knee lifts and flares and ...

Opinions on large Nano

Hi Guys
I'm looking for peoples opinions on the Large Nano, also the chance to try one. I find the medium just too small and all the reviews seem to be on the medium. Should I just bite the bullet and buy one?

Can anyone help?

Re: Tyne tour is it possible to portage wardens gorge at all

Hi I have heard a full time CE officer advise people that there is absolutely NO boating on the Tyne system in September-October because we don't want to jeopardise this event. They informed me that the new 365 day access policy of CE doesn't apply to old access agreements. Make of it what you will....

Camping at Haiming

Hi
We've booked our campsite at Bourg, with help from UKRGB, Thanks. Can you now help us to find a nice quiet campsite in or near Haiming, Austria. It's years since I've been and we always use to stay at Landeck, Footsies, but this time we want to stay near Haiming.

Cheers

Camping near Bourg?

Hi looking to go to Bourg near the end of July (the lad is racing there) can anybody recommend a good quiet campsite for a couple of old Grumpys in a camper van. Preferably within a bike ride away from the slalom course. I expect it will be busy as it is the junior Euros slalom championships. Thanks...

Re: Some freestyle kayaking

Hi I enjoyed it all even the spiel about why he kayaks. I've been boating nearly 30 years now but for the last 5 years I've been dragged around the slalom scene and most the kids there paddle for competition and don't see the point in boating without gates. It's also nice to be reminded why I first ...
