I just maanged to get it down to about £13 per person for 22 of us traveling to France for 2 weeks.

We use Endsleigh and get a pretty good price with them, not sure that we have ever had to claim though.

Beware because I'm sure when booking it this year the price changed depending on what day of the week it was we asked them, that, or they were just plucking numbers out of thin air!

Surely the battery life depends on how much you use it? maybe its 5 years on the shelf... From what i can see it just seems to zap the bugs with something akin to a big dose of ultraviolet light, which presumably means it wont filter out the lumpy bits! then the question comes, does it kill the bugs...

It wont filter out particulates so you'll need a millbank bag or similar, the principle looks good though...until the batteries run out!

The katadyn filters are awesome, similar in performance to the MSR miniworks or water works, but built a lot more solidly, they use aircraft grade aluminum and pretty bomber rock solid build quality etc. Having said that you'll pay probably an extra 75ish quid for a katadyn filter with (essentially)...
