Re: Where best to mount a camera?

Anyone know a good way to mount a gopro on the front of the kayak. There's no good flats to fix a mount without it being wonky.

Boat insurance.

Who insures their kayaks?. I've been looking for theft/damage cover but struggling to find any companies that pay a agreed price on claim. As mine is over a year they go with market price. New price if under a year old.

Thanks

Re: Mamba vs Burn

I tried my new mamba today after Bunning off the burn the other week. And what a difference. It actually made me want to stay out longer. Although it felt a bit on edge to start with it just felt right. Got the fit near on perfect. Contact point were right. Not like the burn that needed blocks of fo...

Re: Paddle van advice

I've got a 96 transorter. I can get 3 to 4 boats in the back and as many as I like on the roof. Saying that I would certainly advise not having one. It's far too slow. Noisey and over priced. If it were me with a decent price bracket I'd get a mwb/ mid or high roof transit. Sent from my SM-G930F usi...

Found a YouTube vid of scalby beck. Looks like there's plenty of weirs. They don't look particularly big either. I'll scout it out next time I'm up there

Re: Mamba vs Burn

I had a burn, sold it last week. hated it in every way possible. I'm looking at getting a mamba 8.1 now. I've got a old 8.6 which is so much nicer to paddle that the burn and more comfortable, just too big for me

Re: Drysuit issue

Throes the seaskin seal and although quite uncomfortable at first it seemed to give the neck seal of suit something to hold on to. Didn't try getting fully submerged as the water at the weekend was a tad cold

Tuna 2.0 vs stout

Hi. Has anyone paddled both. I tried a stout last weekend. Although mainly on flat water with a couple of small 8ft drops and loved it. I've not tried a tuna 2.0 but being borderline underweight at 75kg kitted and pissed wet through It might not be idea. Whereas the stout is suits lighter paddlers. ...

The seaskin neck seal arrived today so soon as I get chance I'll try it out.
If and when I go over I need to stay dry as there's a 100% chance I'll be swimming

Re: Drysuit issue

A few suggestions: 1. It isn't one of the longer-type neoprene seals which is supposed to be tucked into itself is it? (Unlikely - these are normally only used on diving suits, but worth asking, as tucking it in would be an easy fix.) 2. You could try putting a glorified rubber band around the outs...

Drysuit issue

I managed to pick up a cheap crewsaver drysuit the other week. Surprisingly it's watertight considering the cost. Issue I've got is the next seal (neoprene) is a bit slack for my neck. Is there anyway of fixing a adjustment strap or making it slightly tighter without letting water through. Thanks Se...
