Re: Valley Sirona 16.1 RM - fit?

I've demo'd the Sirona and loved it. However... I demo'd at a club on a reseller demo day. Out of around 15 people, I seemed to be the only one that loved it. Coaches jumped into it and wobbled everywhere. I believe it is about fit but it fitted me well. The seat can be adjusted to a lower position ...

Re: Expression 11 / Dagger Katana - Suitable for tall paddler?

I have a Dagger katana and they are a worthy boat to consider. There are 3 in the crossover category worthy of consideration. The katana, the fusion and the Wavesport ethos. Id try out those three but make sure you get the larger size of boat!

Paddle Partner: Hastings, Battle area ish

Hi

Im looking for a paddling partner broadly speaking living near/around the lower half of the A21.

Im a slightly rusty two star capable paddler with own boat (a crossover). I dont fancy joining a club.

Im male, mature.

Re: Wavesport Hydra review

I agree entirely with your thoughts about the Hydra. Thats why Im avoiding it. Its quick in a straight line, but too stable and too 'big' a cockpit for me. I wrote this piece on paddling.com (with misspellings groan) I actually think the Stratos is still a very good boat in comparison and has the ro...

Re: Inflatable Kayak for Sea

The advanced frame kayak inflatable range is excellent and similar in performance to hard shell tho I wouldnt say the same. Jasper Winn took one recently on the Liverpool Leeds coast to coast and raved about it. If you go inflatable do consider them as a starting point as they have a metal frame tha...

Re: Inflatable kayaks dangerous?

I love my inflatable Kayak but adhere to all the safety rules pfd's clothing etc. I dont take it on the sea only rivers and flat water. Anyone who gets into the kayak with me I force to watch a (very good) safety video about climbing back in, strainers, swimming not walking to shore etc. All on yout...

Re: Which inflatable kayak to purchase?

I use the Aquaglide Chinook on occasion tho now Im very much drifting towards hard shell. Ive used the Chinook on many occasions and is very good quality - great for kayak camping too. Have a look on youtube for videos and look and feel. Heres one of the better ones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=...
