There is a huge tree completely blocking the river about half a mile below the small stone bridge with the no swimming sign. it is just after a bend on the run in to a rapid.Running in to it in high water would be catastophic Looks like it came down over saturday night. i think you will be lucky to get down the orb at that time of year, the tarn will be just as low as the ardeche but without the random dam releases the allier is by far the best river in that region. the classic gorge section from chaperoux to le pont d'alleyras is great even when its a bit low. occ...

all my mates use pogos or werners


the werner composit seems to wear alot quicker than the robson and the robsons are a lot cheaper

i paddle c1 so i dont know but my c1 gala sport slalom blade has taken many a battering and is still as good as new. maybe check them out for a kayak blade
