Storage shed

I’m planning on utilising a narrow down the side of my house as my kayak storage area rather than using the garage for practical reasons. I’m toying with the idea of either making a wooden shed, buying a ready made rack then construction a roof and door as the area will have my house on one side the...

CRUZ aero bars

Having recently bought a focus estate I need to get new roof bars, as my previous set don’t fit, has anyone used or had any experience of the Cruz bars as they are considerably less than the Thule equivalent and from first glance look very similar in design

Passat b6 towbar

No really kayak related but I’ve recently changed my car so removed the towbar, has full dedicated 13pin wiring, and detachable towbar by brink. Paid over £300 last year looking for £175ono. Will need new barrel as the lock currently matches my other gear. This may fit other cars but that would be u...

Roof mounted carrier

I’m in the market for a new carrier to go along with some new roof bars, what do you guys recommend? Will be for a sea kayak at the moment and in future whitewater, are J bars best or would a lie flat cradle be more appropriate

Re: Whitewater pfd

Reason being my current PFD, which I use for sea kayaking and doesn’t have a harness, and also the fact I’m booked onto a WWSR course so after looking at the syllabus it is required.
And new toys are always fun to have

Whitewater pfd

As per a different topic about a dry suit I’ve now realised I need to upgrade my PFD to a one with a harness built in, do you guys recommend the palm fxr or would a different pfd me more suitable, I mean I’d love the green jacket but can’t justify the cost just yet.

WWSR Course

I’m booked onto a WWSR course in the near future however I’m just wondering what clothing is best to wear, at present I only have wetsuit pants and usually wear a cag when sea kayaking is a dry suit more preferred or will it be best to try and get a dry suit?

Re: 3 Day Kayak Adventure Advice Needed (NEW)

For me layers are key, a decent cag/waterproof jacket, Baselayers so that if the weather turns you can add or remove layers as needed. A few spare changes of clothes and easy drying such as neoprene or swim shorts so that if you have a swim you don't have to spend the 3 days soaking wet. I assume yo...

Pyranha 9r or burn

Having recently done some training in a 9r I'm very interested in one as my first ww kayak, I'm not looking for an all out creek boat so figured this was a good option, I'd probably go for the large due to my weight. Would you guys recommend the 9r large or a burn and if so is the burn 3 the one to ...

Is it ok to hang a kayak from a garage ceiling I've installed a hoist, and it's all secure I just want to ensure that I would not damage the boat.
