Re: River Wye - Builth Wells to Boughrood
Please don't park in front of the new school access gate - find alternative parking across the bridge in the village of Boughrood. Thanks!

Re: River Usk - Talybont to Llangynidr
Please avoid damaging the crop in the field at the get-in: there's plenty of room to walk around the edge of the field - we risk losing access here if crop damage continues...

Re: Afon Mellte
Please do not egress river-right at the Mellte / Neath confluence (between Dinas Rock & Glynneath): I have been contacted by the landowner there, who explained that what used to be wasteland is now part of his garden and he doesn't really want canoeists walking through it (or even camping on it!...

Re: Well Done Canoe Wales!
It's great to see a lively debate on our charging policy at Canolfan Tryweryn. We are acutely aware of the strength of feeling around this issue and the importance of Canoe Wales striking the right balance between promoting access on rivers and the commercial interest at the Centre. Our formal posit...

Re: River Dee - Horseshoe Falls to Llangollen Town Weir
Horseshoe Falls access: the tenant of the field at the Llantysilio access point has politely requested that paddlers carry their boats down the hill to the river, rather than dragging or tobogganing, to avoid destroying the grass which he rents for grazing. This is the least we can do to continue to...

Dee Access Arrangements
Canoe Wales does not formally recognise the current Dee access arrangements http://www.welshdeepartnershipltd.co.uk/river_access because they do not meet our criteria for 'fair agreements for responsible, shared use' of the rivers. Nevertheless we will be seeking to influence the Welsh Dee Partnersh...

Wye & Usk Access Arrangements
The Environment Agency is still claiming that the Wye & Usk Foundation arrangements are a 'success' because they have improved access for canoeists (compared to the days of the old access agreements) and because paddlers in general abide by them. Canoe Wales does not formally recognise the agree...
