Re: Inflatable Kayak recommendations ?

I had a look at the Itiwit Strenfit X500 in Decathlon and I thought it was pretty good. £600 of semi-rigid kayak that looked and smelt like a kayak. Would be interested to know how it paddles.

Re: Inflatable Kayak recommendations ?

The Gumotex are good but I reckon the Advanced Elements are better. £500 to £1200 new, I've seen them secondhand on ebay £300-£700.

Re: Gloves!

I reckon I have 10 or more pairs of different gloves that I've acquired over the years in search of the perfect glove. They all failed apart from one which naturally had to be the most expensive. The NRS Maverick keeps your hands dry, has a strong grip and is thin enough to wrap around the paddle. h...

Re: Rolling Question and Advice for Newbie

Stick a video camera on the back deck of the kayak and find some not too murky water. Failing that, or in addition to, get someone to take a video of you.

Should be fairly easy to self-diagnose with the video evidence..

Re: Bl**dy Rolling

Wow, almost 18,000 views.. I teach Greenland rolling so I'm biased to my methods so let's get that caveat out the way. Seems to me you have 2 problems: one the mechanics of the roll and second, your panic underwater. It could be that Greenland rolling might help solve both problems. How? When you le...

Re: Old Norkapp HS - free

Roddy

I would love to take your Nordkapp home with me!

I used to have one of the very first Nordkapps with no bulkheads or hatches so a Nordkapp HS would be almost cutting edge for me.

I live in Oxford and could pick it up whenever suitable for you.

thanks
