Re: Canoe Wales Statement Regarding Accusation of Trespass on the River Dee

From what I understand it's the portage/scout/rope support section at serpents tail. They don't want us walking there anymore. And to be honest they can shove that up their arse, some groups won't run the tail, and I personally wouldn't run it without looking at it first to check there were no obstr...

What are the best grade 3 rivers?

Hi, With the whitewater season starting I'm keen to know where the best grade 3 rivers are. We've done the Usk, Dee, dart loop so many times that were really trying to find new spots. Any help on this would be appreciated. Travelling is no issue but preferably nothing further north than Penrith/Carl...

Hi Daniel, if you fancy stepping the grades up and doing grade 3/4, mainly 3 you're welcome to join us? We're usually in Wales most weekends. Travel from Stourbridge area.

Re: Do you keep filming?

Come on guys leave him alone, he's saying the guy doesn't seem like a grade 4 paddler on the basis he screwed up a couple of things that would be simple to a guy of that ability. Yes it could be down to a bad day but if paddlers over estimate their ability then it puts themselves in danger and also ...

Low force - advice needed!

Hi,

Can you drop low force on any level? I'm up doing the Washburn this weekend and low force looks like fun seeing as I'm "fairly" close to it. Although the levels will be very low I was wondering if it would still be possible to do it. It would save another 4 hour trip later in the year!

Thanks

Thanks Ian! The gorge section looks lovely, we didn't believe the rain would be there in the end so we ended up at the Dee!

TYMWYN - Help!

Hello!!
Can anyone tell me more information on this river? I can't seem to find info on it anywhere except a YouTube video of a gorge section.

Could anyone tell me where the get in/get out is

Major hazards

What the length of the section is

What level is a good one to run it!!

Thanks!!
